Florence tickets: prices, hours, comparison and skip the line hub

Looking for a clear comparison of Florence tickets without opening ten sites? This hub collects official prices, hours, closures and booking rules for the most requested museums and monuments. Three figures to fix first: Uffizi €25 same day (€29 in advance), Accademia €20 plus €4 booking fee, Brunelleschi Pass €30. The city does not sell a single city ticket. Each body has its own box office, refund rules and (sometimes) advance-sale fees. Understanding the circuit prevents double purchases and useless queues. Below you find the full table; after that, online comparisons and internal pages.

Florence tickets: prices, hours and booking table

Official prices from the institutions’ pages. The “online from” column shows the lowest ballpark among Tiqets/GetYourGuide products in our catalogue at verification time. Where no listed product exists, buy only on the official channel.

Two operating notes. The cumulative Boboli + Bardini Garden at €15 is sold only at physical desks on the day, never online. Michelangelo’s Secret Room at the Medici Chapels costs €32 all-in, with mandatory booking and a maximum of four people per fifteen-minute band.

Three circuits, three ticket offices

Gallerie degli Uffizi (CoopCulture). Official channel tickets.uffizi.it; call centre 800 615 615 / +39 055 0354135. Tickets are named: if the name does not match ID, no entry and no refund. Max ten tickets per day per account. With a booking, arrive 15 minutes early at Gate 3. There is no longer a “low season”: price changes only by purchase timing and afternoon band.

GAMB (Accademia + Bargello). B-Ticket is the only MiC-authorised online channel; Firenze Musei call centre +39 055 294883. Accademia €20 (+€4 booking); Accademia + Bargello 48 h cumulative €26; six GAMB museums 72 h €38. The booking fee on GAMB pages shows as €3 or €4 depending on the sheet: B-Ticket checkout shows the exact amount. At the Accademia there is no cloakroom: bags allowed max 40×30×18 cm.

Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore. Passes only: Brunelleschi €30, Giotto €20, Ghiberti €15. Valid for three calendar days from the chosen date, one access per monument. No “Dome only” ticket and no official skip-the-line outside the authorised B2B network (where Tiqets also appears). Dome slot: max 5 minutes late tolerance; 463 steps, no lift; ID required.

Official cumulatives that beat commercial passes

Hours and closures: typical Florence tickets mistakes

Almost all state museums close on Monday. Boboli closes on the first and last Monday of the month. Palazzo Vecchio on Thursday closes at 14:00. The Duomo nave is closed to tourists on Sunday. Museo Galileo on Tuesday closes at 13:00. San Marco also closes on the fifth Sunday of the month. Plan Accademia and Uffizi on open days; leave Monday for Baptistery, Museo dell’Opera (except the first Tuesday), Palazzo Strozzi or private museums.

On the first Sundays of the month state museums are free (#domenicalmuseo): no booking, priority suspended, long queues. If you have little time and fixed dates, pay for a slot and visit on a weekday.

Online, skip the line and what you are really paying

Platforms do not replace the official channel on price: you pay for availability, smartphone ticket, audioguide or (sometimes) cancellation. Typical examples at verification: Uffizi from €25 with audioguide on Tiqets versus €29 official in advance; Accademia from €28.75–€31 versus €24; “Premium” Dome typically €64–€69 versus Brunelleschi €30. Reductions, free entry and bag rules

EU 18–25 reduced at €2 in state museums (ID required); same concession for Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Uruguay and some residence permits. Under 18 free at state and civic museums. At the Duomo, reduced fare ages 7–14 on passes; under 7 free. Torre di Arnolfo: banned under 6.

Luggage. Uffizi: free cloakroom for large items (suitcases and trolleys must be deposited). Accademia: no cloakroom, small bags only. Duomo: free deposit included at Piazza Duomo 38/r (7:30–20:15). At SMN station, KiPoint on platform 16 from €6, hours 7:00–21:00.

Suggested path if you buy today

One day. Morning Accademia (60–90 minutes), afternoon Uffizi or Dome if you already have a Brunelleschi slot. Between the two, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio are free.

Two days. Day 1: Uffizi (+ Vasari Corridor if you have legs and a slot) or Pitti+Boboli. Day 2: Accademia + Brunelleschi Pass + sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo (bus 12/13, city €2 / 90 min).

Three days. Add Bargello or Medici Chapels, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Croce or Santa Maria Novella. For ready-made packages: Florence Pass and −5% combos.

Civic museums and churches: the list people often forget

Beyond state museums, Florence tickets also go through bigliettimusei.comune.fi.it (€1 advance sale per title, even on free tickets that must be booked). Palazzo Vecchio €18 (reduced 18–25 and students €12); Tower and walkway €20 (reduced €13), with 418 steps total, ban under 6 and closure in rain (you may climb only to the walkway, no refund). Brancacci Chapel €15 (reduced €10), max 10 people in the chapel and 30 minutes stay: booking strongly recommended. Museo Novecento €13, Bardini €10, Santa Maria Novella €7.50 (City of Florence residents free with ID), Santa Croce €10 (under-18 children free with family ticket; City residents free).

Palazzo Strozzi sells exhibitions at €15 fixed date / €20 open date (reduced under 30 €12; young people 6–18 €5; family €25). At verification, “Broken. The Power of the Fragment” was on (25 September 2026 – 24 January 2027): hours 10:00–20:00, Thursday until 23:00. Firenze Card accepted; courtyard and Project Space stay free.

Vasari Corridor and evening openings

The Corridor is not improvised. Booking mandatory for everyone, including minors and guides; named tickets, non-modifiable and non-refundable; maximum 5 tickets per transaction. Uffizi entry two hours before the Corridor slot; meeting point room D19 (Cappellina Veneziana) for daytime; arrive 5 minutes early (10 for evening). Route about 1 km, duration about 45 minutes, groups of 25 with escort (not a guided tour). Supplement for PassePartout / Firenze Card holders: €20. Friday evening openings (July to November per official calendar): evening ticket €20 same day / €24 in advance.

Indicative audioguides: Uffizi €6 (delivery until 17:00); Accademia €6 at the bookshop with ID; Santa Croce €4 online / €6 on site; Opera del Duomo OperaGuide app free.

What to check at the metal detector

Uffizi: plastic bottles max 50 cl of water; no food or glass; personal photos without flash (banned in temporary exhibitions). Accademia: water max 0.5 l, no food; no large backpacks. Duomo (Cathedral and Baptistery): dress code — shoulders and legs covered, no flip-flops. GAMB: bags max 40×30×18 cm; Orsanmichele is not accessible to people with motor disabilities and has no toilets.

Slots that really sell out

Brunelleschi’s Dome, Torre di Arnolfo, Vasari Corridor, Brancacci Chapel (ten places) and Michelangelo’s Secret Room (four places per band) are the critical points. Uffizi and Accademia rarely sell out an entire day, but morning bands disappear first. The Opera del Duomo confirms sell-outs without publishing a weeks-ahead horizon: the only reliable indicator is the first free band on the official calendar. If the Dome is at zero, there are no extra cash-desk quotas (except Ghiberti On-site for Ghiberti only).

Families, students and groups

Under 18 free at state and civic museums; under 7 free on Duomo passes; under 6 banned on Torre di Arnolfo; Secret Room banned under 10. EU 18–25 reduced to €2 at state museums. Uffizi groups: max 16 people (guides included), whisper mandatory over 6, €70 surcharge from 11 up. Accademia/GAMB groups: max 20 + guide, whisper from 6. SMN: max 25 + 1 guide, earphones mandatory from 6 people. For EU school groups at the Uffizi, booking is free and mandatory.
