Florence ticket combos: 5% discount prices, hours and when it pays

Florence ticket combos on Tiqets work like this: two attractions in one order, 5% discount on the sum of chosen variants. On a €52.25 package that is about €2.75; on €108.30 about €5.70. The saving is real but modest: it does not replace comparing with Uffizi at €25 (same day) / €29 (advance), Accademia at €20 + €4, Brunelleschi Pass at €30.

Florence ticket combos: types, prices and 5% discount

The product feed lists fourteen tq-combo-* keys (combo tag). They are not cards: they are two distinct tickets with separate dates and bands. Exact composition (base entry, audioguide, tour, “fast track” Dome) only shows when you open the sheet: two similarly named combos can cost €57 or €113 because the included Duomo or Accademia variant changes.

Practical rule: combos that “save” more euros are the most expensive, because 5% is proportional. A €130.18 combo removes about €6.85 versus the same two Tiqets tickets separately, but remains the costliest product.

Watch Accademia variants: some packages include an item around €50, while the cheapest Accademia single on Tiqets starts at €31. The 5% does not offset that gap. Always open the sheet and see what is in the cart.

Conclusion: if your goal is lowest price, buy official. If you need sold-out slots, audio or one payment, the combo makes sense — but measure the surcharge in euros, not only the −5% percentage.

Hours: how not to collide the two slots

Uffizi and Accademia close on Monday. Palazzo Vecchio on Thursday closes at 14:00. Museo dell’Opera del Duomo closes the first Tuesday of the month. The Dome has five minutes tolerance: being late burns the slot with no refund. The booking system only shows availability; it does not warn if you set Accademia at 9:00 and Dome at 9:30.

Sequences that work:

• Morning Dome → afternoon Accademia (fresh legs for 463 steps).
• Morning Accademia → afternoon Uffizi (David in 60–90 minutes, then minimum two hours in the Gallery).
• Uffizi morning → Pitti/Boboli same day or next day (with official PassePartout even better).

Between Uffizi and Vasari Corridor official rules require Gallery entry two hours before the Corridor slot and at least 45 minutes margin: combos that include Vasari must be read with those constraints.

When to choose something else

• Only Uffizi + Pitti + Boboli → PassePartout €40, not a commercial combo.
• Four+ museums in 72 h → Firenze Card €85, aware the Duomo stays out.
• Two entries already decided on Tiqets → −5% combo better than two separate checkouts.
• Siena/San Gimignano day trip → tq-combo-sangimignano-siena at €28.02 is outside the city-museum perimeter; compare with day tours in things to do.

How the 5% is really calculated

The discount is not a fixed list: it applies to the sum of the two variants selected in the wizard. If for Uffizi you choose “entry + audioguide” at €25 and for Accademia a €50 variant, the gross total is €75 and the combo shows about €71.25. If Accademia enters at €31, the total drops. That is why the same catalogue row can swing: the feed publishes a “from” price, not the final cart.

Compare with the non-combo-tagged Reserved Entry Combo (combo-ua group, from €69.50): a sibling product framed as a two-museum pass, often with Vox audio and 10% off later bookings. It does not get the combo −5% mechanism, but sometimes the starting total is lower than tq-combo-uffizi-accademia (€81.70). Open both sheets before paying.

Families and reductions in combos

Commercial combos rarely expose the EU 18–25 €2 state reduced fare: online you find adult (and sometimes child) reseller rates. Under 18 free at state museums stays cheaper on the official channel. For an adult + EU teenager, official Uffizi €29 + €0 and Accademia €24 + €0 beat any €80+ package. Check age and documents at checkout: Uffizi tickets are named.

Checklist before confirming a combo

1. Sum the two official fares (with booking) and compare the combo total.
2. Open the sheet and read which Duomo/Accademia variant is included (Cathedral tour ≠ Dome).
3. Check cancellation / refund label.
4. Check closures: no Accademia on Monday; no Duomo nave on Sunday.
5. Space the slots: three hours between Uffizi and Accademia; Dome in the morning.
6. If the axis is only Uffizi–Pitti–Boboli, drop the combo and go to PassePartout €40.

“Michelangelo” combo and “Vasari” combo

tq-combo-medici-accademia (€65.55) pairs Medici Chapels (€11 official) and Accademia (€24 with booking). Typical surcharge versus official: about €30, in exchange for one order and slots. Makes sense if Chapels are sold out on B-Ticket or if you want audio/guide included in the variant.

tq-combo-accademia-uffizi-vasari (€121.60) brings the Corridor into the total. Official Uffizi+Vasari €47 + Accademia €24 = €71: the combo costs about €50 more. May be worth it if official Vasari slots are closed and typically not if they are still on tickets.uffizi.it. Remember the rules: Gallery entry two hours early, meeting point D19, no Gallery re-entry after Corridor starts.

Leonardo + Accademia combo (€57)

Family product: Leonardo Interactive Museum (museum online list from €8.30) + Accademia. Useful as a hands-on break before or after David. Does not replace Uffizi. Typical Leonardo duration ~1 hour; Accademia 60–90 minutes. Book Accademia with margin: no cloakroom, leave large backpacks at storage first.

What is not a combo (but looks like one)

The Florence Pass (€88.50–€92.50) is a three-item package, not a −5% combo. The 5-day PassePartout (€40 / resale €45) is an official cumulative, not a platform discount. The Firenze Card (€85) is a timed city card. Turbopass is a duration commercial city pass. Using “combo” for all of them creates wrong comparisons: here “combo” = two Tiqets SKUs with combo tag and −5%.
