Palazzo Strozzi Florence tickets: prices, hours and Broken show

Palazzo Strozzi Florence tickets open the historic centre’s exhibition space: from 25 September 2026 to 24 January 2027 it hosts Broken. The Power of the Fragment, with over 80 works from the Met, Louvre, British Museum and others. Official tickets from €15 (fixed date), hours 10:00–20:00 every day, Thursday until 23:00. Hours and access

Every day 10:00–20:00, Thursday until 23:00; last entry 1 hour before. Physical ticket office in the courtyard 10–19 (Thu until 22). Courtyard (9–20, Thu until 23) and Project Space (former workshop): free entry. Broken takes place in Courtyard + Piano nobile — do not present the Strozzina as included.

Arrive with margin: last entry at 19:00 (or 22:00 Thursday) is not enough for 80+ works if you start late.

What to know about Broken

Curators: C.D. Dickerson III and Andrew Sears (NGA) with Arturo Galansino. After Florence the show goes to Washington (3 March – 27 June 2027). Mark Manders installation in the courtyard. Accessibility programmes (e.g. Alzheimer “A più voci”) tied to the show from October. Upcoming shows already announced: “California Dreaming” (20 Mar – 25 Jul 2027) and “Basquiat” (25 Sep 2027 – 23 Jan 2028).

Before 25 September 2026

Until 24/09 the Piano nobile did not host Broken; the free Project Space had closed “Jean-Marie Appriou. Canto infinito” on 23/08. Do not buy a show ticket thinking of a dismantled display: check the date on the voucher and Foundation site.

Getting there

Piazza Strozzi sits between Via Tornabuoni and Via degli Strozzi, 5–7 minutes from the Duomo and Santa Maria Novella. Ideal after a morning Uffizi or as a Thursday evening stop. From the station: 10 minutes on foot, no bus needed.

Firenze Card and free entry

Firenze Card includes show entry. Under 6 and disabled + companion free. No dedicated resident discount. ICOM, guides, journalists, Friends of Palazzo Strozzi: free per Foundation rules. The courtyard remains visitable without a show ticket — useful for shade, not for seeing Broken.

Uffizi = permanent collection and queues/slots. Strozzi = temporary show with long hours until 20:00 (23:00 Thu). Useful pattern: Uffizi morning/afternoon → pause → Strozzi evening. Do not rush both in three hours: quality drops. If you have only one afternoon and hate Uffizi queues, Strozzi + free courtyard can be enough as the day’s “art dose”.

Hours until 23:00, last entry 22:00. Under 30 and Tuscan students at €5 from 18:00. Fewer school groups, more residents and evening visitors. Ideal after a free afternoon or after Uffizi closes. Combine with a centre dinner: no need to rush to Piazzale the same day.
