Other Florence museums: tickets, prices, hours and what to pick

Uffizi, Accademia and Duomo do not exhaust Florence. This page collects other Florence museums with tickets, prices and hours: Galileo, Opera del Duomo, Novecento, Pinocchio, Innocenti, Orsanmichele, Brancacci, Ferragamo, HZERO and related venues. Museo Galileo — science on the Arno

Piazza dei Giudici 1. Not a state or civic museum: no #domenicalmuseo or Metropolitan Sunday. Hours: Mon and Wed–Sun 9:30–18:00, Tuesday 9:30–13:00. Full €14, reduced 6–18 €7, family €32, under 6 free, online +€1. Declared duration 1–2 hours. Firenze Card accepted. “Mirabilia Graphica” show until 18 October 2026. Ideal from age 7/8; photos without flash; free cloakroom; you can exit and re-enter the same day with a desk ticket. Disability access from Lungarno Anna Maria Luisa de’ Medici 2.

Opera del Duomo Museum

Piazza del Duomo 9: original Gates of Paradise, Bandini Pietà, Donatello’s Magdalene, 6,000 m². No single ticket: enter with Ghiberti Pass €15, Giotto Pass €20 or Brunelleschi Pass €30 (official Opera). Museum hours 8:30–19:00, closed first Tuesday of the month. Free OperaGuide app audioguide. Anyone wanting only the museum takes Ghiberti (Baptistery + Museum + Santa Reparata, no climbs).

Museo Novecento

Piazza Santa Maria Novella 10. Twentieth-century art. 11:00–20:00, Thursday closed. Full €13, reduced €9, under 18 free, +€1 online. “Ottone Rosai” show until 4 October 2026. Next to Santa Maria Novella.

Pinocchio Museum Experience

Via Ricasoli 44 (Palazzo Gerini). Full €14, reduced €10, free ≤3. Every day 10–19, immersive turns every 40 min (10:00–18:00). Duration ~1 h. Near Accademia: useful with children after David. Family 2A+1C €35, 2A+2C €44, 2A+3C €52.

Museo degli Innocenti

Piazza SS. Annunziata 13. Full €9, reduced €7, free up to completed age 10. 10:00–19:00 every day, closed 25/12. Caffè del Verone on the terrace accessible even without a ticket (café typically 10–21:30). Artemisia Gentileschi show from 21/10/2026. Does not join Domenica al Museo (first Sunday is paid). €6 discount with Accademia ticket the same day (and other conventions).

Orsanmichele

Via dell’Arte della Lana. From 1 February 2026: full €10, EU 18–24 reduced €2, under 18 free. Tue–Sun 8:30–18:30 (only GAMB venue outside the unified 8:15–18:50 hours). Not accessible with mobility disability, no toilets. Church + museum are no longer “free entry”.

Brancacci Chapel

Piazza del Carmine 14. Masaccio, Masolino, Filippino Lippi. Full €15, reduced €10. Mon and Wed–Sat 10–17, Sun 13–17, Tue closed. Max 10 people, max 30 minutes; booking strongly recommended. English guided tour available on platforms.

Museo Salvatore Ferragamo

Palazzo Spini Feroni, Piazza Santa Trinita 5/R. Full €10, free under 18 and over 65. Mon–Sun 10:30–19:30; closed 1/1, 15/8, 25/12. Founder’s show extended to 14 February 2027. Last entry not published on the official site. Operating site: museo.ferragamo.com.

HZERO — train museum

Piazza degli Ottaviani 2r (not 8). H0 layout 280 sq m. Wed–Sun 10–19, closed Mon–Tue. Full €14, child 4–13 €7, families from €24. Ideal for families; workshop ages 2–10.

• Casa Buonarroti — Via Ghibellina 70; €8; closed Tuesday; discount with Santa Croce ticket; 10–16:30.
• Palazzo Medici Riccardi — Via Cavour 3; Magi Chapel max 10 people / 5 minutes; seasonal prices €15/€10 (high/low); closed Wednesday.
• Museo Stefano Bardini — Fri–Mon only 11–17; €10.
• Forte di Belvedere — seasonal; €8; free for Metropolitan City residents.
• Marino Marini — Sat–Mon only 10–19; €10; includes Rucellai Tempietto.
• Museo del Calcio — Coverciano; €12; outside the centre; every day 10–18.
• Leonardo — two distinct museums: see Leonardo Museum.
• Alinari — no longer a visitable museum on Piazza SMN (closed 2014).

How to choose in two days

Passes and cards

Firenze Card (€85) covers many of these (Galileo, Novecento, Brancacci, Innocenti, Ferragamo, Orsanmichele, Bardini…). It does not cover Opera del Duomo (need Opera passes). GAMB combos cover Orsanmichele but not Galileo. Details: Florence Pass.

Ready itineraries “beyond the big three”

Science morning: Galileo 9:30 → lunch → free afternoon or Strozzi. Families near Accademia: David → Pinocchio or Leonardo Interactive → gelato. Oltrarno frescoes: Brancacci (booked) → Santo Spirito exterior → Piazzale sunset. Fashion + centre: Ferragamo → Tornabuoni → Palazzo Strozzi if a show is on.

Frequent mistakes

• Looking for a “Opera del Duomo only” ticket without a pass.
• Going to Alinari on Piazza SMN.
• Missing San Marco last entry thinking every museum closes at 19:00.
• Bringing a wheelchair to Orsanmichele.
• Confusing the two Leonardo museums (66/R vs Castellaccio).
• Presenting yourself at Via dei Servi 12 for Museo de’ Medici (moved).
• Going to the Synagogue on Saturday.

Galileo: details that avoid surprises

Ticket sales until 30 minutes before closing. Online: date changeable at €0.50. Open-date gift ticket (1 year) online only. Guided visits: small groups up to 14 people €65/service (60 min) beyond the ticket. Small dogs in arms/carrier allowed per regulations. No internal café: plan a bar on the Arno.

Brancacci and Orsanmichele: why they seem “minor” but are not

Brancacci asks for slot and discipline (10 people, 30 minutes): it is not a museum to wander. Orsanmichele asks for legs and no wheelchair. Both repay anyone who has already seen Uffizi and wants sculpture/fresco without the same queue. Book Brancacci before promising it to travel companions.

Families: three clear options

1. Leonardo Interactive — Via dei Servi, from €8.30 online.
2. Pinocchio — turns every 40 min, €14.
3. HZERO — trains, closed Mon–Tue.

Do not do all three the same day. Under 18 free in many state/civic museums: use that on Bargello/Accademia and pay only for the hands-on experience.

When these museums beat Uffizi

Rain + children → Galileo or HZERO. Saturday and you hate queues → Ferragamo or Innocenti. Want sculpture without Accademia → Opera del Duomo (pass) or Bargello (dedicated page). Want twentieth century → Novecento (watch Thursday closed).

Links with Santa Croce and Bargello

Casa Buonarroti and Museo Horne have reciprocal discounts with Santa Croce. Galileo discounts holders of Santa Croce (convention €10). Orsanmichele sits in the GAMB circuit with Bargello: weigh combos if you do several venues.

Palazzo Medici Riccardi: why it deserves an extra line

Via Cavour 3, closed Wednesday. In high season (1/3–1/11) full €15, reduced €10; in low €10/€7. Benozzo Gozzoli’s Magi Chapel admits max 10 people every 5 minutes: you may wait in Michelozzo’s Courtyard. Pre-sale +€1.50, not purchasable for the same day, non-refundable. “Oltre il Rinascimento” (until 5/1/2027) and Nasini (until 31/1/2027) shows on the same route ticket. Firenze Card: from April 2026 mandatory booking for groups >8.

Synagogue: rules that avoid a wasted trip

Closed Saturday and on published Jewish holidays (Pesach, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah and flagged early closings). Summer: Sun–Thu 10–18:30, Fri 10–17; winter shorter hours, Fri until 15. Ticket office closes 45 minutes before. Full €9, reduced €5. Metal detector at entry: arrive without useless delays. Useful site: firenzebraica.it (jewishtuscany.it often wrong).

Museo de’ Medici and Marino Marini (do not confuse with others)

De’ Medici: moved to Rotonda Brunelleschi / Via degli Alfani 39; €10; 10–18 every day; WhatsApp +39 055 709 8284. Do not go to Via dei Servi 12 anymore. Marino Marini: Saturday–Monday only 10–19; €10; includes Alberti’s Tempietto del Santo Sepolcro on the route. Other days by booking.

HZERO and Ferragamo: price-list details

HZERO: families 1A+2U18 €24, 2A+1U18 €29, 2A+2U18 €34, 2A+3U18 €41; groups ≥8 at €8 + €1 booking. Ferragamo: reduced €6 (TCI, Turbopass, Cultura Card) and €5 (students, Feltrinelli, Unicoop, FAI, HZERO…); free guided visits by email booking; third-party ticketing surcharges possible — museum list stays €10.

Pinocchio and Innocenti: turns and terrace

Pinocchio: online purchase until 1 h before; groups ≥12 by quote; audioguide it/en/fr/es. Innocenti: last entry 1 h before; Caffè del Verone without museum ticket; Artemisia Gentileschi from 21/10/2026. With small children, Innocenti (free up to age 10) + Verone often beats a second paid museum.

Opera del Duomo vs “other museums” in the visitor’s head

Many search “Opera del Duomo Museum ticket” as if it were Galileo. It is not: it sits inside Opera passes. Ghiberti €15 if you do not climb; Giotto €20 with Campanile; Brunelleschi €30 with Dome. The museum closes the first Tuesday of the month: mark the calendar. Not on Firenze Card.

Rain plan with these museums

Galileo, Ferragamo, Pinocchio, HZERO, Novecento, Innocenti, Opera del Duomo (if you hold a pass). Avoid Belvedere and outdoor Bardini. Orsanmichele and Brancacci remain valid but Brancacci still needs booking. San Marco closes at 13:50: do not use it as an afternoon rescue.

Daily budget for “smaller museums”

Two adults: Galileo €28 + lunch, or Orsanmichele €20, or Ferragamo €20 (or €0 if under 18/over 65). Add one family hands-on (€14–28) and you stay under Uffizi+Accademia cost. Firenze Card at €85 only pays off if you chain many of these plus the majors in 72 h.

What not to invent (sources)

Do not publish Ferragamo last entry if the site does not declare it. Do not revive Alinari on Piazza SMN. Do not use obsolete Leonardo/Medici addresses. Do not promise Domenica al Museo on Galileo, Innocenti or private venues. Numbers on this page follow FACTS verified in September 2026.
